I have been taking pictures since I was nine years old. Things that fascinated me were images of hoar frost on fence wires of the fields of my home, sunrise, my animals (there were a lot of them), and people, all kinds of people doing and feeling all kinds of things. There’s is an incredible beauty in the very simplest of things. For a very long time all of this felt personal and private but it was also always a way I had to communicate with the world, to help articulate the way I saw it. This is all still true. Frost stops me in my tracks on a sunny winter morning, my personal Instagram has a lot of animals in it, and I LOVE people. But I have also found that it’s through these articulations I can connect with those people and that has been the most fulfilling part of making photography my vocation. Somehow, along this crazy twisted road, I have the unique privilege of being able to capture images, tell stories, and keep memories for other humans. I can’t tell you what this means to me.  I believe that stories reveal themselves in light, and emotion, movement, and stillness.  Sometimes I have to remind myself to breathe in the stillness. It’s an honour to be asked to be present and I will do my very best to show you what I see.
